Chief Minister Inaugurates Model Basti Shahbaz Nagar Constructed for Residents of Kachi Abadies in Faisalabad

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that pickpockets and looters will be held accountable and national resources will be utilized for the welfare of the masses. He said that if the national resources were utilized honestly and the journey of construction and development should also continue with hardworking and sincerity round the clock, such residential projects costing trillion of rupees can be started for the poor in Pakistan where all basic amenities can be provided. He said this while inaugurating a model Basti Shahbaz Nagar constructed for the residents of Kachi abadies in Faisalabad. He also announced setting up of girls college and vocational training institute for providing modern skills to the boys and girls. Punjab government has provided more than 12 acre land free of cost for construction of houses and other facilities in model colony Shahbaz Nagar for the poor residents of Kachi abadies in Chak No.8GB nearest to the Faisalabad city.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that a welfare residential scheme constructed with the financial assistance of local philanthropists and industrialists for poor, widows and deserving persons is a shining example in all respect in which sewerage system, cemented streets, playgrounds, water-filtration plant, mosque, commercial market and other basic necessities of life have been provided. The Chief Minister said that this great model of residential colony will be introduced throughout Punjab which is the manifestation of the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. Appreciating the spirit of sacrifice of philanthropists and other organizations provided financial resources for construction of Shahbaz Nagar, the Chief Minister stressed that such noble spirit of construction and development and welfare should be promoted. He stressed upon the elected representatives of Faisalabad to extend helping hand in introducing this model colony in other areas of Faisalabad. The Chief Minister announced provision of free education by the Punjab government to ten talented male and female students of Shahbaz Nagar, upgradation of middle school for girls to high school, setting up of girls college, repair and construction of road of Chak No.100GB and establishment of vocational institute. Earlier, the Chief Minister while inspecting the houses constructed in Shahbaz Nagar talked to the residents and distributed Eid gifts containing eatable items among them. He also laid foundation stone of the mosque in Shahbaz Nagar.
DCO Nasim Sadiq while giving briefing regarding model colony Shahbaz Nagar informed the Chief Minister that 250 houses with all basic facilities constructed in this colony have been provided to the deserving people free of cost. He told that sports grounds, commercial market, water-filtration plant and children park have been constructed in the colony whereas every house is consisted of two rooms, kitchen, courtyard, bathroom, electric fans and energy savers. The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of DCO Faisalabad Nasim Sadiq for setting up Shahbaz Nagar and his administrative abilities. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Members National Assembly Ch. Abid Sher Ali, Haji Akram Ansari, Begam Khalida Mansoor, Ch. Asim Nazir, Members Provincial Assembly Khawaja Muhammad Islam, Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, Zafar Iqbal Nagra, Ch. Raza Nasrullah Ghuman, Mrs. Anjum Safdar, Joel Amir Sahotra, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Rai Ijaz Hussain Kharel, former MPA Sheikh Ijaz Ahmad, Talal Badar Chaudhry, Ch. Faqir Hussain Dogar and other ticket holders, office-bearers and party workers were also present on the occasion.
