Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar paid an online visit to registry branch DG Khan from his office through the system set up by the Punjab Information Technology Board and directed to suspend sub-registrar Imran Hameed for not assuming the charge of the post and unavailability in sub-registrar office. He also spoke to the citizens in Saraiki language, who were astonished on this surprise contact. The chief minister inquired about the possibility of any extortion of money by the staff and said that anybody daring to ask for money will be dealt with an iron hand. One citizen Shahid Rasool informed that sub-registrar city DG Khan has been transferred but the new sub-registrar has not taken charge yet. We have come here to process the cases and are waiting for our turn for the last four to five hours but the difficulty is being faced due to the irresponsible behaviour of the new sub-registrar. Another citizen Ghulam Siddique Khan informed that he has been visiting for the last many days for processing registry but the concerned officer is not available. The chief minister reviewed the issue and directed to suspend sub-registrar Imran Hameed for not assuming the charge of his post in time. He also called the DC and AC DG Khan to the registry branch for immediate redressal of complaints of the citizens and asked them to come out of their offices to immediately reach to the registry branch as people are much worried there. He directed the DC to immediately dispose of pending matters of all the people present in the registry branch and further directed to submit a report in this regard. Talking to the citizens, Usman Buzdar said that he will monitor the field situation by daily online visiting any office in some of the cities of the province anytime. I will help solve the problems of the people by sitting here, he added. The chief minister further directed to immediately dispose of the pending cases.
