Hamza Shahbaz Sharif

Mr. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif is the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab. He served twice as a Member of National Assembly from 2008 - 2013 and from 2013-2018. He was reelected for the third time in 2018 as a Member National Assembly as well as a Member Provincial Assembly from his native city of Lahore. He served as the Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly from 2018 -2022.
Mr. Hamza Shahbaz obtained his undergraduate education at Government College Lahore and attended London School of Economics from where he obtained his LL.B (Hons.).
He has led and steered reforms in strategic areas such as local government strengthening, expanding opportunities for the youth; improvements in the criminal justice system; prison reform, historic preservation of Lahore’s heritage sites, revitalization of historic districts in Lahore and protection of environment and wildlife. The Chief Minister believes in empowerment of citizenry particularly women and young citizens of Punjab by creating economic opportunities; expanding access to education, new sports facilities and providing safe and vibrant public spaces for all citizens of Punjab.
He is a committed public representative who believes in participatory decision making and strengthening democratic values in Pakistan.
Mr. Hamza Shahbaz enjoys spending time with his daughter Samawiyah and has special interest in health, fitness, nature and wildlife.
