First ever Punjab Tourism Policy has been developed and draft submitted for approval. Spade work has been completed and a summary for reconstitution of Board of Directors of TDCP has been moved. Establishment of New Tourist Destinations: (Kotli Sattian-Forest Valley Destination, Chakwal –Punjab’s Lake District, Uchalli, Soon Valley- Eco Friendly Tourist Destination, Jhelum-Heritage Destination, Attock –Provincial Interface, Koh-e-Suleman –Jewel of South Punjab, Kala Bagh – Indus at its Best, Namal Lake – Where Nature Speaks, Bahawalpur – The princely state and Punjnad – where Rivers Meet. Development and publication of Punjab Tourism Blue Print containing key strategic initiatives and road map for the next five years. Tourism department organized a conference on World Tourism Day which was chaired by Minister for Tourism. The Concept of Park ways was introduced for the first time in Punjab. Park way is a road exclusively designated for the tourists. Two such Park ways are being developed in the current ADP - one in Kotli Sattian and one in Chakwal Namal Lake – Where Nature Speaks
